New Forum!

Out with the new, in with the old

Gone have been the days of free and open access to information. But, not for long. Businesses, groups, partnerships, friend groups, and more hopped head first into apps like Discord for not only socializing and messaging but for things like official support, bug reports, announcements, and more. This caused an information black hole where some important discussion of the exact problem you’re having is no longer easily found. Instead replaced by complicated trails of expired invite codes, deleted servers, or toxic environments due to the walled garden hiding users from the rest of the world.

We’ve made the decision to try and create not only a place to share updates and support in a publicly accessible way but also create a safe online community for our friends, family, community members, customers, and like-minded folk from all over the world.

So, we’ve now launched our Official Steamworks Café Forum utilizing Discourse, the same software powering Blizzard Entertainment’s forum!

How do I join?

You can visit https://chat.steamworks.cafe either directly or via the navigation at the top of this page. All accounts start at level 0 for safety of our users, but as you browse and like topics you’ll quickly hit level 1 and unlock features such as image uploading, chats, direct messages, and more!

Our most active members gain the ability to help power our community through increased limits, enhanced reporting, and titles.

What about voice and video?

That is the one main limitation we are facing at the moment. We are currently thinking of hosting our own voice and chat server utilizing either Sharkord or Stoatchat. For now, we are testing voice channels on our forum which you can find on the navigation panel on the left of your screen of on tablet or desktop, or using the navigation button on the top right of your mobile screen.
